Taylor 3
The Taylor Hall archway is one of a handful of places that most say Cornell to me. Years ago, before the trees down the slope grew tall, you could see downtown Ithaca, the blue hills beyond half-lost in the promise of a hazy summer evening. I wish I'd photographed this place then. But enough of that first glimpse, first impression has stayed with me these years to color, I'm sure, many of my drawings, their gates, doorways, their beckoning light. Sometimes a memory is enough. But I love shooting Taylor too.
