Thanks. My landscapes are imagined, though that doesn't seem quite the right word- I don't imagine, then execute them; it's more a process of exploration, discovery, development. I seldom begin a drawing with more than the most general of ideas about what it may become- And usually, even those are quickly discarded.
Of course, elements of places we enjoy do find their way into my drawings, too. Usually, qualities, textures, effects rather than specific features. Elements of landscape absorbed, become vocabulary to draw on. As it were. :)
Hey Mark, I don't know if you even remember me, but I'm one of the old guard from Wetcanvas. Not the really old guard, but the likes of Danny and Jakeally and Monica are still around. You should pop in and post this one. Awesome (as usual).
I'm an artist and writer. My work has appeared in American Art Collector, Endicott Journal, Bluecanvas, Word Riot, Metazen, Fictionaut Selects, and many other publications. Original drawings, prints, artcards, more at the links below. Thanks for looking.

Fabulous! I have a question for you, do you copy from places you visit or pictures or you just make up these landscapes in your mind? I'm curious...
